The very first education
board to be set up in India was the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and
Intermediate Education in 1921. This Board was under jurisdiction of
Rajputana, Central India and Gwalior. It was in the year 1929, when the government
of India set up a joint Board named “Board of High School and Intermediate
Education, Rajputana”. Now this Board included Ajmer, Merwara, Central India
and also Gwalior. Sometime later it was made to Ajmer, Bhopal and Vindhya
Pradesh, but in the year 1952, it became the “Central Board of Secondary
Education”which is now also known as CBSE Board in its short form.
As we all know CBSE 12th
